XB Cables: Your Versatile Solution for Any Electrical Project

When it comes to electrical projects, choosing the right cable is crucial to ensure the safety, efficiency, and durability of the installations. In XB Components, we understand that each project has specific needs. That's why we offer a wide range of XB cables designed to meet any electrical requirement, including automotive applications, fixed installations and photovoltaic systems.

Below, we present the different types of XB cables available so that you can choose the perfect solution according to the type of installation.

Types of XB Cables for Automotive

1. Cable for installation in vehicles

  • Single Core Car Cable (CIA Series):
Ideal for wiring road transport vehicle components, the FLRY-B designation includes reduced PVC insulated copper cables. Supports voltages of 60V and temperatures between -40ºC and 100ºC. Available in various colors and sections from 0.50 mm2 to 6 mm2. It can be supplied in 50 and 100 m reels or in industrial BOX format.
  • Car Hose Cable (CM Series):
The 05VV-F designation translates to flexible copper cables with PVC insulation and sheathing. It withstands temperatures between -15ºC and 70ºC, and a nominal voltage of 300/500V. Available in configurations from 2 to 7 conductors and sections of 1 and 1.5 mm2 as usual rotation references, for other sections and number of conductors, consult without obligation.

2. Battery Cable (CAA Series):

Specially designed for vehicle starting, with flexible polished copper and PVC insulation. It resists up to 70ºC and has a nominal voltage of 450/750V. Available in black and red and sections from 10 to 95 mm2. You can combine it with any of our battery clamps to have the complete starter kit.

3. Black/Red Bi-Color Parallel Cable (CB Series)

Used mainly in audio systems as it is not suitable for use in electrical circuits. Its two-tone design facilitates identification and its flexible PVC insulation allows working between -15ºC and 70ºC. Available in sections of 2×0.5 mm2 to 2.50 mm2. Other color combinations on request.

4. ADR Cables (CM-2X1.50-ADR)

This 2×1.50mm2 hose cable complies with ADR regulations for dangerous goods transport vehicles. Its insulation and PVC cover resist from -40ºC to 85ºC, and withstand UV rays and hydrocarbons.

XB Cables for Fixed Installations

In this product division we can differentiate cables according to the number of conductors (single-core and hoses) or according to the scope of application (private, public or photovoltaic installations)

1. Single-core cables

  • Single-core cable for fixed installations (CIF series)
The designation H05V-K (up to 1 mm2) / H07V-K (for sections of 1.5mm2 and above), results in a cable manufactured from polished class 5 copper and PVC insulation, has a working temperature range of -15ºC to 70ºC and nominal voltages of 300/500V (H05V-K) / 450/700V (H07V-K), for use in private fixed installations. The version with PVC insulation for high temperatures (90º) is also available on request (H07V2-K).

XB CIF Series Cables

  • Halogen-free single-core cable (CILH series)
As established by the Electrotechnical Regulations for Low Voltage (REBT), the use of halogen-free cables is mandatory in public places, and recommended in the construction of new homes. The TI-7 type insulation, halogen-free, guarantees better smoke emission behaviour in the event of a fire, making its installation safer. For sections up to 1.00mm2 (H05Z1-K) it supports a nominal voltage of 300/500V while for sections equal to or greater than 1.50 mm2, these are 450/700V (H07Z1-K).

  • Halogen-Free Tri-Easy Cable (CIT Series)
This product simplifies installers' work by integrating three stranded, halogen-free, single-core cables. Its design allows the three essential conductors for any installation (line, neutral and ground) to be introduced at once. Available in 1.50mm2 and 2.50mm2 sections.

  • Solar Cable (CIS Series)
The conditions for installing solar panels require a cable with very specific characteristics and resistance to the elements. Our range of solar cable (designation H1Z2Z2-K) is composed of Class 5 tinned electrolytic copper, covered by halogen-free Z2 cross-linked thermoplastic composite insulation. This composition gives it resistance to UV rays and ozone and resists temperatures from -40ºC to 90ºC and voltages of 1.5kV (DC) / 1kV (AC).

2. Hose cables

If your installation requirements include greater mechanical or aesthetic protection, more portability or ease of assembly, then you can find our range of hose cables:

  • Hose cable for fixed installations (CMI series)
These hoses follow the designations H05VV-F (section 1.00mm2) and VV-K0.6/1kV (sections equal to or greater than 1.50mm2) and are made of flexible Class 5 copper with PVC insulation and sheath. They withstand working temperatures from -15ºC to 70ºC and voltages of 300/500V, the former, and 600/1000V the latter. Our catalogue references include combinations of 2 to 5 conductors for sections from 1mm2 and we can have other references on request.
  • Halogen-free hose cable (CMLH series)
Halogen-free hoses provide the same fire protection as the single-core cables of the CILH series – and the advantages of hoses. Designed under the RZ1-K 0.6-1kV designation, they are composed of flexible class 5 copper, cross-linked polyethylene insulation and polyolefin cover, which gives them greater safety for people in the event of a fire. The working temperature range is -15º to 90º and the nominal voltage is 600-1000V.

CMLH Series XB Cables

  • Flat Hose Cable (CMP Series)
Its flat design gives it greater resistance to fatigue due to bending in one direction, so it is optimal in cases of installations with corner turns, for example, it also occupies less space in thickness, which makes it interesting for use in small, flat spaces or those that require surface shaping. The PVC insulation of class 5 copper wires allows working temperatures between -15ºC and 70ºC and nominal voltage of 300/500V.
